NOODLES, FAST/SLOW FASHION, AND A NEW COMMUNITY OF LIKE-MINDED FASHIONISTA FRIENDS….
When I was young it wasn’t a competition of who had the best outfit – it was a question of who wore it best. Everyone had shopped in the same store. I wore the same clothes as everyone else and I shopped so much at fast fashion stores that I couldn’t even afford to do all the fun things I wanted to do!
I had to eat noodles for a month just because I had spent all my money at fast fashion stores, contributing to a pile of clothes at home that I didn’t end up using or liked very much due to the poor quality.
Then I discovered the slow fashion movement. I found such a balance and harmony in my life once I figured out how to slow down and minimize! I minimized the number of clothes and maximized the use, it was a whole new wardrobe. And I could afford all the fun things! Good food, hanging out with friends, traveling while rocking a unique style.
It was a whole new world that opened and a new community of like-minded fashionista friends. I decided to start this online community to invite more people into the community I found.
